　　一、新西兰矿产资源概况

新西兰拥有丰富的非金属矿业资源，包括煤、无定型硅石、斑脱土、硅藻土、白云石、铁矿砂、石灰石、珍珠石、浮石、高等级硅砂、沸石和不同类型的粘土。这些资源支撑着新西兰的工业、建筑业和农业生产。本文主要介绍新西兰非金属矿产资源生产及应用情况。

　　二、主要非金属矿产资源生产、应用情况
　　（一）煤
　　新西兰煤资源主要分布在北岛的Waikato和Taranaki地区，南岛的Nelson, West Coast, Canterbury,Otago和Southland regions。出口量由1990年的50万吨增长到2003年的200万吨，出口创汇1亿新币，主要出口到日本、印度、智利、中国、澳大利亚和比利时，向斐济、荷兰、沙特也有少量出口。

　　（二）混合矿
