      但科米向国会表示,FBI仍在继续调查“是否有过任何犯罪行为”。他表示这一调查“包括调查特朗普竞选阵营相关个人和俄罗斯政府之间任何联系的性质,以及是否存在该阵营与俄方努力之间的任何合作。”
      他说,俄罗斯试图在帮助特朗普竞选的同时,破坏民主过程和特朗普对手希拉里·克林顿的竞选活动——莫斯科认为自己帮助实现了让特朗普当选的目标。
      特朗普曾企图将人们的注意力导向奥巴马下令监听特朗普大厦的没有证据的指控上,甚至反复指控英国电子侦察机构——政府通信总部共谋参与了这一行动。
      同样在众议院面前作证的美国国家安全局局长麦克·罗杰斯海军上将否认了上述指控,表示他同意GCHQ一则愤怒的否认表态,该表态称特朗普的指控“荒诞至极”。罗杰斯表示:“这么做会明显违背已经实行数十年的五眼(情报分享)协议的架构。”
      众议院情报委员会的调查是对俄罗斯干预美国大选的几宗调查之一。科米无法对该委员会说明,FBI的调查何时会结束。
