Indiana Medal of Honor Highway Dedication
On Friday, U.S 20 was dedicated as the Indiana Medal of Honor Memorial Highway. Out of the 3,500 veterans who have earned this great award, 100 of those service members are from our great state of Indiana.
One day the Medal of Honor Highway will stretch all the way from Oregon to Massachusetts.
Thank you veterans and current service members for your service. Home of the free, because of the brave!
Disabled American Veterans Legislator of the Year
Honored to receive the Disabled American Veterans of Indiana (DAV) Legislator of the Year award.
As a veteran myself, I will continue to fight for the interests of veterans on Capitol Hill. Thank you for your service!
NAHB Defender of Housing Award
I am honored to have received the National Association of Home Builders “Defender of Housing Award” for this Congress.
Home ownership is the cornerstone of the American Dream, and quality and affordability should not be out of reach for everyday Americans.
Farm Tour with President of Allen County Farm Bureau
Great afternoon on the farm with my friend Roger Hadley, President of Allen County Farm Bureau. Nothing runs like a Deere – or so I’m told!
Community Harvest Food Bank Distribution
I’m thankful for groups like U.S. Department of Agriculture and Community Harvest Food Bank – Fort Wayne who are helping our community weather the COVID-19 pandemic together.
Community Harvest Food Bank has distributed thousands of pounds of food to individuals in northeast Indiana through the Farmers to Families Food Box program, one of many programs created by the Trump administration during the COVID-19 crisis.
Agriculture Trade Roundtable with Hoosier Farmers
Americans began to see the importance of agriculture during the COVID-19 crisis. I’m glad to work with an administration that supports agriculture and to represent a district made up of farmers who are crucial to the industry.
Thank you to Ted McKinney, Under Secretary U.S. Department of Agriculture, for joining us to discuss international agriculture trade. The industry needs our support now more than ever.
Business Roundtable with Greater Fort Wayne Inc.
On Wednesday, it was great to participate in a business roundtable with Greater Fort Wayne Inc.
Hearing from local business leaders in our district is crucial to my work in Washington.
We must continue to:
Restore our way of life
Rebuild the greatest economy in history
Renew the American dream
Steuben County Council on Aging
Our senior citizens have spent their lives building a successful community. What a great way to give back to them!
Steuben County Council on Aging allows our senior community to remain independent in the home of their choice!
Visiting With Trine University Leadership
Enjoyed my visit to Trine University. The school has navigated reopening well due to great leadership by Dr. Brooks!
Pelosi’s Playing Politics with the President’s Health
Every day, millions of Americans have to choose between potentially exposing themselves and their loved ones to the invisible threat of COVID-19 and bringing home income to pay the bills and put food on the table. There’s a burden of risk each frontline worker has had to accept each day they leave their house and go to work.
President Trump, too, has had to accept that risk, executing his very busy schedule as President of the United States. Even though no branch of government has been as careful as the executive branch when it comes to preventing the spread of COVID-19 (Congress, for example, still has no testing apparatus in place), he still tested positive for COVID.
That’s why I get angry when I hear Speaker Pelosi victim blame, saying that President Trump got the virus because he’s been “going into crowds, unmasked, and all the rest.” The insinuation that anyone who gets COVID is irresponsible is offensive and shameful, especially to the 200,000 people who have perished because of it.
Last week, I joined Fox and Friends First to explain how Speaker Pelosi’s playing politics with the president’s health just like she’s played politics with COVID relief package. In her war against POTUS, she insinuated that anyone who contracts COVID-19 is irresponsible, and she should apologize. Click here to watch the full interview.
Speaker Pelosi Must Issue a Formal Apology
Speaker Pelosi must not get a pass from the media on this…
She insinuated that all those suffering from COVID are careless and irresponsible. Working people can’t stay in lockdown—they run the risk of infection every day.
Last week I joined Sean Spicer to discuss why I’ve written a letter to request a formal apology from the Speaker to all those who have suffered from this illness. I hope she does the right thing and says, “I’m sorry.” Click here to watch the full interview.
Supporting Hoosier Equipment Manufacturers
Equipment manufacturers employ 3,426 workers in northeast Indiana and contributes $8.2 billion to Indiana’s GDP.
That’s why I signed the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ pledge to support the industry.
I’m proud of our states’ contributions to American industry and I want the next generation of Hoosiers to feel the same way. Which is why I’m dedicated to maintaining a pro-business, pro-worker environment and expanding Indiana’s manufacturing base. Click here to learn more.
Netflix Indicted for Distributing “Cuties” Film
Earlier this month I sent a letter signed by 33 Republicans asking the DOJ to prosecute Netflix for distributing the film “Cuties.”
I’m happy to have learned a Texas grand jury just indicted Netflix for distributing “Cuties” after being shown the film.
‘Cuties’ is child porn. Unlike some media apologists, I, my colleagues, a grand jury and the vast majority of Americans are disgusted by it.
I’d still like to see the DOJ get involved too. Netflix broke federal law. Click here to learn more.
Democrats are Coming for Your Guns
After months of violence and civil unrest, many are glad we have the Second Amendment and a means to defend ourselves from criminals.
But the Left isn’t. They targeted our police officers, calling to Defund the Police and strip them of legal protections, and now they’re taking aim at our last line of defense: gun rights.
If Democrats were in charge today, they’d pass laws to try and take your guns, but they know that as long as we have the Second Amendment, they won’t be successful in the Courts. That’s why they’re going after gun manufacturers, trying to defund all makers of guns so that they’re too expensive to make or sell.
Law and order depends on good guys with guns! Click here to learn more.
