截至7月的過去一年中，中國大陸游客在關島的信用卡和借記卡消費支出,同比暴漲120%，大批中國遊客湧入免稅店、奢侈品專賣店刷卡。
傑米森稱，中國遊客在關島奢侈品消費額,同比增長100%。 “中國遊客在關島消費,呈爆炸式增長，因此,關島最大的機會在於,使中國遊客免簽政策（Visa Waiver）獲得通過。屆時,各個方面將出現實質性增長。”
關島總署埃迪·卡爾沃(Eddie Calvo),5日表示，相信聯邦當局將批准中國遊客免簽政策，批准時間,很可能在11月總統大選之後。
力推免簽計劃吸引中國遊客
此前,關島觀光局曾表示，2011年,關島接待中國遊客超過了6000名。關島正致力於在一年至一年半之後,實現針對中國大陸游客的免簽計劃，屆時,中國赴關島旅遊的遊客數量可能會超過五萬名。
關島目前在中國市場,主要推廣的是高爾夫度假、購物度假、沙灘陽光,這些自然景觀各方面的組合，關島觀光局對擴大中國遊客市場充滿信心。

Pushing the Visa Waiver Program to attract Chinese tourists
